Media, biography and contact updated.

Our rehearsals during easter break were awesome. Just being back at our own rehearsal space in Volda was incredible. We exchanged lots of ideas and began working on some new songs. We’re pretty excited and have decided to play a couple of concerts before summer break. Eventually we hope to find a producer and record a demo. Looking forward to it!

In my last post I promised to keep updating our site more frequently and so I have. If you visit our Media section you’ll find that I’ve uploaded a couple of songs.
So enjoy, and feel free to post a comment.

Updates!

Hi!

It’s been quite some time since we last updated our beautiful website, but I promise that It’ll be updated more frequently in the future. Anyways, after our last tour we had alot of talks about the future of Afterbirth and what we wanted to do next. We finally decided to stop our touring for a while and rather concentrate on new material, and point our sound towards a more electronic and melodic direction. We’ve been working individually the last few months, sending eachother lots of ideas back and forth over the internet. And a couple of weeks ago we finally had a rehearsal in Hamar with our good friend Lars Ove Fossheim, and the result of what we had been working with, was awesome. Next week we will meet in Volda to rehearse and we’re all looking forward to it.

We will probably record two or three songs sometime in the sommer break which will be followed by a long tour in Norway. And perhaps a few gigs in Sweden.
So stay tuned folks. We’ll try to update you more frequently in the future.

Cheers
Jens Olav

Tour summary

FINALLY HOME!

After finishing our six shows two weeks ago, I went straight on a 10-show european tour with my jazzband DripP! Coming home, I realised that neither Danny or Jens had bothered to update our website after the tour! SCANDALOUS, I know! I take the duty upon myself, and summarize.

Sunday 20. oct. we went back to our regular hang-out Trøndertun FHS to rehearse, and found a drumkit, an active Mackie speaker, and a mic with a cable and stand. The trouble of finding amplification for Danny’s voals and mine, plus the bass, then started. We ended up practicing Sunday thru Thursday with Jens alone on vocals. Thursday and Friday at Trundertoon and Huset were great, alot more people in Stjørdal this time around! Thanks to (unnamed Trondheimband) and Svamp for support. The following week we were supposed to do five shows in as many days. Oslo and Trondheim went fine, lots of people, we were in great shape, played with great bands. Before the Halden show, however, we lost our driver due to job issues, we were getting ill, and traffic reports started arriving of people dying in E6 southward due to extreme weather. We had no winter tires yet. So, we cancelled the show, promising ourselves to go all out on our final shows in Ørsta and Bergen. Lots of people showed up for both shows, and exept for outrageous uncontracted conditions in Bergen, everything went smooth as a baby’s ass. Fucking great to finally play our new material in front of a lot of people!

We just don’t know what to do next. I suppose we have a choice to make. Let you all know when the revelation appears!

Show cancelled.

We had to cancel the show at rockehuset due to transportation issues.
We will come back as soon as we can!

Trøndertun Concert!

As a thank-you gesture to my old school in Melhus, for letting us use the school for repeated rehearsal periods, we’re going to play a concert for the school’s students next thursday, 25. oct. We’ll start at 18.00, and we hope to see all of the school’s fellow hardcore-fans there, banging heads together! (or whatever…)

After that we’ll set of to play six gigs down south, which by the way have been uploaded as confirmed here on our site!

See ya in the pit,
Boska

Tour Dates Up!

So, in about a month, we’ll be back on the road! We’ll play the biggest cities of southern Norway, as well as some smaller places. You’ll find the tour dates in the "Tour" section of this page. In addition to the ones you can find there, we are working on shows in Namsos, Sandvika and Stavanger/Bergen, as well as shows in Volda, Molde, Bergen and Ålesund this december. Whatever happens to these shows, you can be sure we’ll let you know when it does :P

Bring your friends, foes, family, and your hearing protection, and we’ll have a blast every night once again!

Cheers, Boska
